"Frau Ute’s school is a unique place where kids are supported to blossom through exploration and language. Our daughter has been there for one year and we couldn’t be more grateful she has the opportunity to be in such an exceptional caring and warm place. Frau Ute is incredibly experienced and knowledgable of child development. She creates a wonderful environment for the kids where they are able to learn through engaging with the world around them and using their own creativity to solve problems.
When we leave our daughter with Frau Ute, it is with complete confidence that she is physically and emotionally safe and will have a day full of calming routines and new experiences. The children have time to play and develop social skills on their own and with friends, they learn wonderful songs and stories in circle time that my daughter sings and tells us when she comes home, they are able to really move their bodies at the park, eat nourishing and healthy food, have time to rest at nap time. The themes of all the crafts, art and activities they undertake opens her mind to what the world she is living in at the right level for her to grasp and interpret. When I drop her up from the day, the calm feeling of the school always pulls me in and I feel that I would like to stay myself and participate in the upcoming day.
Over the last year my daughter’s command of the German language with the language immersion environment has grown considerably. I am so happy when she responds to me in German which is not something I had been able to accomplish on my own as one parent speaking with her in German, as German is also my second langue. I find that the exposure to a second language and the focus of Ute’s school on teaching social maturity and nurturing the whole child’s senses and needs is the most valuable experience for preschool."
"My son was enrolled in Frau Ute's class until Kindergarten (this year 2013-2014). We absolutely adored her. My son developed so much academically that it amazed us. She has a philosophy of developing and nurturing the "whole child". Learning about caring for our planet, what foods should be put in our bodies and foreign language, were a few my son's favorite topics. My son would come home singing songs and counting in German and Chinese! She is well traveled through different countries and brings her stories to our children. It opened up my son's eyes to a whole world that doesn't seem to be foreign or scary to him, but exciting. I felt as if my son is so much more cultured than I! She also seems to capture the children's attention in the most creative ways in which a raised voice is never needed! (A skill I've yet to learn at times!) She has the most balanced quality with kids of being nurturing and compassionate, but at the same time stern. My son really respected Frau Ute and loved her to death. My whole family adored Frau Ute, and forever grateful for the time our son was with her."
